Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the election and term of a county board chairman.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
55 ILCS 5/2-3007
Adds reference to:
55 ILCS 5/5-1063.5 new
65 ILCS 5/11-39-2.5 new
30 ILCS 805/8.35 new

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code and the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that before a county or municipality may issue a demolition or renovation permit for property that is regulated under Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations because of asbestos, the county or municipality must notify the permit applicant of the requirement to file a NESHAP notification form and the applicant must certify as part of the permit application that the NESHAP notification form has been filed with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective 90 days after becoming law.
