Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that a period of probation, a term of periodic imprisonment, or conditional discharge shall not be imposed for the offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse if the offender who held a position of trust, authority, or supervision in relation to the victim was the victim's teacher.
House Floor Amendment No. 2 Provides that a period of probation, a term of periodic imprisonment, or conditional discharge shall not be imposed for the offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse if the offender: (i) was an administrator, teacher, employee, or volunteer in the same school district in which the victim was a student; or (ii) held a position of trust, authority, or supervision in relation to the victim (instead of held a position of trust, authority, or supervision in relation to the victim as the victim's teacher).
