Judicial Note (Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts)
House Bill 312 amends section 5/24-3.5 of the Criminal Code of 1961 with respect to penalties for certain attempts to unlawfully purchase firearms. Based on a review of the bill, it has been determined that House Bill 312 would neither increase nor decrease the number of judges needed in the state.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes all. Makes the same changes as in the introduced bill. Also makes a technical change in the sentencing provision of the statute to delete a redundant phrase. Effective immediately.
