Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Authorizes a municipality to opt out of a police district by an affirmative vote of a majority of the members of the municipality's corporate authority. Provides that a municipality that opts out of a police district may later opt in to the district by an affirmative vote of a majority of the members of the corporate authority. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Deletes reference to:

Adds reference to:
65 ILCS 5/7-4-7from Ch. 24, par. 7-4-7

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that the corporate authorities of a municipality located within a county with a population between 39,001 and 39,499, based on the 2000 federal decennial census, may, by an affirmative vote of the majority of its members, dissolve its police district. Provides that a municipality that dissolves a police district may reconstitute the police district by an affirmative vote of a majority of the members of the corporate authority. Effective immediately.

65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-3.5

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act in the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that the redevelopment project in the TIF district created by an ordinance that was adopted on October 14, 1993 and extended on August 2, 2010 by the City of Venice must be completed by December 31 of the 35th year (now, the 23rd year) after the year in which the ordinance was adopted. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act in the Illinois Municipal Code.
