SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Paul R. Vyncke of East Moline, who passed
4away on December 23, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke was born in East Moline to Richard and
6Genevieve Schulte Vyncke on December 26, 1925; he graduated
7from United Township High School; he served in the United
8States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict; he
9married Marlowe Techlin on June 26, 1948 and was a civilian
10weapons repairman during the Vietnam War; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke worked for the Army Weapons Command at
12the Rock Island Arsenal; he later retired from PECO Enterprises
13in Davenport, Iowa; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke was a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs
15and was thrilled to see them finally win the World Series; he
16loved to sing and enjoyed playing video poker at the casinos;
17he was a devoted father and grandfather and was proud of the
18fact that he had built summer homes in Minnesota and Arkansas
19for his family to enjoy; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke was preceded in death by his wife,
21Marlowe; his daughter, Lori; his parents; his brothers, Leo and

1Joe; his great-grandson, Jordan Schmidt; and his son-in-law,
2Larry Hultgren; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Paul Vyncke is survived by his children, Carol
4Hultgren (Dennis Sellers), Alan (Peggy) Vyncke, Cindy (Bill)
5McMullen, Bruce (Becky) Vyncke, Rick (Kristy) Vyncke, and Paul
6D. Vyncke; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one
7great-great-grandson; and his siblings, Bill (Ruth) Vyncke,
8Jim (Glenda) Vyncke, Wayne (Ruth Ann) Vyncke, Marlene (Mel)
9Gavin, and Luella Summers; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Paul R. Vyncke, and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Paul Vyncke as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
