SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Albert M. Aubry of Moline, who passed
4away on November 15, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Albert Aubry was born in Moline to John and Helen
6Ashley Aubry on June 23, 1921; he served in the United States
7Navy during World War II and married Suzanne Leemans at Sacred
8Heart Church in Moline on August 9, 1947; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Albert Aubry served his apprenticeship at Rock
10Island Arsenal and then worked 10 years for Herman
11Nelson/American Air Filter; he retired in 1984 from John Deere
12Harvester after 28 years; he later became a tour guide at
13Harvester for 20 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Albert Aubry was a member of Sacred Heart Church,
15where he served as an usher for many years; he was the past
16chief ranger of Catholic Order of Foresters Sacred Heart Court
171691, the past commander of American Legion Post 246 in Moline,
18where he was a member, and past Chairman of the Society of
19Manufacturing Engineers Chapter 23; he was a member of the
20Ex-Servicemans Club, VFW Velie Post 2153 in Moline, and the
21Friends Circle Club; he enjoyed rolle bolle, gardening, and
22woodworking, especially building birdhouses; and

1    WHEREAS, Albert Aubry was preceded in death by his
2brothers, William, Frank, and Joseph; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Albert Aubry is survived by his wife, Sue; his
4children, Monroe Aubry, Charlotte (Marvin) Sueverkruebbe,
5Bonnie (Jim) Horton, Daniel (Kim) Aubry, William (Mary) Aubry,
6Rita (David) Ostrom, and Marcia (Jim) Riggins; 19
7grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary
8Costello; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Albert M. Aubry, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Albert Aubry as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
