SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rose M. Luebbert of Hartford, who passed
4away on November 9, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rose Luebbert was born on March 13, 1940 in Alton;
6her parents were David and Isadora Lilley; she married Dudley
7T. Luebbert on April 4, 1959 in Hartford; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rose Luebbert served the Village of Hartford as
9the first woman elected as a trustee on the Village Board from
10April 21, 1981 until March 31, 1994; she then served as the
11Village Clerk until May of 2000; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rose Luebbert was a member of the Hartford Women's
13Club for many years; she was also a member of the Civic League,
14the Hartford Chamber of Commerce, and the Citizens for Lewis
15and Clark Development at Site #1; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Rose Luebbert enjoyed politics; she gave many
17hours of dedication to a better Hartford throughout her life
18and was well respected for her dedication; she also enjoyed her
19days of traveling with her husband, sewing, and spending time
20with her family and friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Rose Luebbert was preceded in death by her
2husband, Dudley; her parents; her brother, David Lilley; and
3her sisters, Carol, Addie, Bea, and Shirley; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Rose Luebbert is survived by her daughter and
5son-in-law, Kim and Dennis Nappier; her sons and
6daughters-in-law, James and Paula Luebbert, William and Tina
7Luebbert, and Theodore and Kristie Luebbert; her
8grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Kevin, Ryan, Seth, Matthew,
9and Melina; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces,
10nephews, other extended family members, and friends;
11therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Rose M. Luebbert; and
15be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Rose Luebbert as an expression of
18our sympathy.
