SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William E. Armstrong of Mettawa, who
4passed away on October 21, 2016, at the age of 67; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Armstrong graduated from Libertyville
6High School and Northwestern University with honors; and
 
7    WHEREAS, William Armstrong retired from the United States
8Military Processing Center, U.S. Department of Defense; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Armstrong was a former Trustee for the
10Village of Mettawa; he was the former Chairman for COVE
11(Children's Outreach Vocational Education) of Kapeeka, Uganda
12and a member of the Libertyville Masonic Lodge; and
 
13    WHEREAS, William Armstrong is survived by his wife of 23
14years, Carol (Batson); his children, Tom Lorenz, Tammie Smith,
15and Karen (Arthur) Barrie; his grandchildren, Joshua Lorenz,
16Ryan Baker, Kyle Baker, Madison Baker, and Madeline Barrie; and
17his brothers, Robert (Cathy) Armstrong and Stuart (Susan)
18Armstrong; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1William E. Armstrong, and extend our sincere condolences to his
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of William Armstrong as an expression
