SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mose Harris Jr., who passed away on
4September 7, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. was born in Barazzoni, Mississippi
6to Mose Sr. and Ruby Harris on November 16, 1955; he moved to
7Chicago with his family at a young age; he attended Beethoven
8Elementary School and Dusable High School; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. worked as an individual contractor
10for over 30 years; he worked for the Austin family for over 30
11years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. was affectionately known as
13"Skip"; he loved attending family gatherings, reading the
14Bible, and attending church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. was preceded in death by his
16parents; his sisters, Edna and Debra Harris; and his brother,
17Randy Harris; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mose Harris Jr. is survived by his children,
19Santana Galmore, Nicole Galmore-Fifer, and Creed Louis; his
20son-in-law, Phillip Fifer; his daughter-in-law, Tonya

1Yarbrough-Galmore; his brothers, Robert Lee and Ricky; his
2sisters, Linda, Denise, and Luvenia; his special friends,
3Geraldine and Elaine; his grandchildren, Hakeem, Fetema,
4Jacquez, Jaitaja, Nicolas, and Creed Jr.; his aunt, Cozy
5Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Mose Harris Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Mose Harris Jr. as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
