SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard Lee Weaver of Colona, who passed
4away on September 24, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Weaver was born in Moline to Richard and
6Shirley Walsh Weaver on April 15, 1947; he attended Carbon
7Cliff schools and graduated from United Township High School in
81965; he served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to
91970; he was stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam; he married Brooking
10Cole in 1970; he later married Janet Struse in 1973; he later
11married Karen Fuehring in 1986; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Weaver worked for 34 years with Sheet
13Metal Workers Local 91 Q-C, and five years with Local 73
14Chicago; after retiring in 2005, he worked at various casinos
15in the Quad-City area, most recently at Jumer's Casino; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Weaver was preceded in death by his
17parents; his stepmother, Rachel Weaver; and his
18brother-in-law, Robert Weinberg; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Richard Weaver is survived by his children, Scott
20(Theresa) Weaver, Beth (Frank) Lujan, and Kathy Weaver (Bob
21Ziegler); his stepchildren, Robert (Stacy) Fuehring, Jeffrey

1Fuehring (Rebecca Lopez), Kenneth (Rebecca) Fuehring, and
2Patricia Fuehring (Jason Posten); his grandchildren, Scott

4Martin, Miranda Lujan, William Sellers, Shyanne Sellers,
5Mystique Mettler, Mia Katzenburger, Connor (Shayna) Fuehring,
6Jacob Fuehring, Joshua Fuehring, Charlie Bell, Jason Posten,
7and Sophia Posten; his sisters, Sue (Tom) Thye, Lois (Jim)
8Marando, and Vickie (Don) Spindel; his mother-in-law and
9father-in-law, Frederick and Patricia Douglas; his
10brother-in-law, Fredrick Douglas; and his sisters-in-law,
11Vickie Duyvejonck and Terri Weinberg; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Richard Lee Weaver, and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Richard Weaver as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
