SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Daisy K. Woodard of Danville, who passed
4away on August 26, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard was born on January 19, 1926 in
6Danville; her parents were Oscar and Mildred Owens Kinney; she
7married Wilford R. Woodard on March 16, 1944 in Covington,
8Indiana; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard served as a Danville Township
10Trustee for over 20 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard was a member of the Westside Church
12of the Nazarene; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard enjoyed reading, politics, and
14spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids, and their
15families; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard was preceded in death by her
17husband, Wilford; three brothers; two sisters; and her
18son-in-law, James Creason; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Daisy Woodard is survived by her sons, Gene

15and her great-great-grandchildren, Oliver Beck, Piper Creason,
16Neveah Parham, Evgeni Anderson, and Kendra Pundt; therefore, be

18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
20family and friends, mourn the passing of Daisy K. Woodard; and
21be it further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23presented to the family of Daisy Woodard as an expression of
24our sympathy.
