SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John L. Fullmer Jr. of Milan, who passed
4away on July 29, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was born in Le Claire, Iowa to
6John L. Sr. and Virginia McCaulaey Fullmer on May 10, 1937; he
7served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he
8married Evelyn Muhleman Maxwell in Moline on December 12, 1997;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was employed as a supervisor at
11Alcoa for 32 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was a member of Buffalo Bill
13American Legion Post #347 in LeClaire, Iowa; he enjoyed
14bowling, playing cards, antiquing, quilting, gardening,
15fishing, and playing golf; he also enjoyed working on cars and
16drag racing in his youth; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. was preceded in death by his
18parents and a sister; and
 
19    WHEREAS, John Fullmer Jr. is survived by his wife, Evelyn;
20his children, Susan Fullmer (Tom Brown) and Steven (Laura)

1Fullmer; his grandchildren, Jacob Fullmer, Jacob Maxwell, and
2Ryan Maxwell; five great-grandchildren; his stepson, Tom
3(Colleen) Maxwell; his brothers, William (Virginia) Fullmer
4and Wilford Fullmer; and numerous other siblings; therefore, be
5it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8John L. Fullmer Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of John Fullmer Jr. as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
