SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard H. "Dick" Woellert of Johnsburg,
4who passed away on June 3, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert was born on February 5, 1934 in
6Woodstock; her parents were Harry and Ella Woellert; he married
7Nancy Henk on September 14, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in
8Algonquin; he was a lifetime resident of McHenry County and
9called Johnsburg home for over 54 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert proudly served in the United
11States Army; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert served as the Assistant Chief of
13the McHenry Township Fire Protection District - Company 2 for
1430 years; he retired from Intermatic in Spring Grove, where he
15worked as a manager, in 1999 after 35 years of service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert was an active and devoted member
17of Zion Lutheran Church of McHenry for many years; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert enjoyed spending time with his
19family, watching the Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox,
20going to Major League Baseball games with his family, golfing,

1and yearly cruises with his wife; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert was preceded in death by his
3parents and his brother, Elwood; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Richard Woellert is survived by his wife, Nancy;
5his son, Thomas (Renae) Woellert; his daughters, Susan (Cletus)
6Flogel and Linda (Jeffrey) Boyd; his grandchildren, Tricia
7(Brian) Higgins, Kristen (Ryan) Servais, Sarah Woellert,
8Brittany, Tiffany, and Ashley Flogel, and Sage Boyd; his
9great-grandson, Emmett; his brothers, Vernon (Sandra) Woellert
10and William (the late Marge) Woellert; and his sister, Dorothy
11(Raymond) Larsen; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard H. "Dick"
15Woellert; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Richard Woellert as an expression of
18our sympathy.
