SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lyle A. Vroman of Rock Island, who passed
4away on March 18, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lyle Vroman was born in Edgington to Henry J. and
6Estelle Gould Vroman on February 12, 1923; he proudly served
7his country in the United States Army during World War II in
8the Pacific Theater; he married Esther Padget in Davenport,
9Iowa on January 25, 1953; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Lyle Vroman retired from the Moline Fire
11Department at the rank of Assistant Chief with 25 years of
12service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lyle Vroman was a past commander of the Milan
14American Legion Post 569; he held several other offices at the
15State level of the American Legion and at Rushville Post 4; he
16enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, yard work, and
17gardening; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lyle Vroman was preceded in death by his wife,
19Esther; his parents; his sister, Doris Eyler; and his
20brother-in-law, Howard Eyler; and

1    WHEREAS, Lyle Vroman is survived by his children, Tate
2(Mary Ann) Vroman, Riley (Judy) Vroman, Marie (Sam) Weindruck,
3Connie (Kelly) Smithhart, and Debbie (Mike) Day; his 11
4grandchildren; his several great-grandchildren; his brother,
5Floyd (Zita) Vroman; and many other loving family members and
6friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Lyle A. Vroman, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Lyle Vroman as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
