| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Reckamp of Crystal Lake, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 25, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reckamp was born on March 20, 1942 in |
| 6 | | Palatine; his parents were Claude and Margaret Reckamp; he was |
| 7 | | raised in Wheeling; he and his family moved to a farm in |
| 8 | | Harvard when he was 18 years old; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reckamp became a journeyman electrician |
| 10 | | and served in the United States Marine Corps before working as |
| 11 | | an electrician for many years; he later served as the Regional |
| 12 | | Energy and Telecommunications Manager for J.C. Penney; |
| 13 | | following his retirement, he owned a car wash and managed his |
| 14 | | rental properties; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reckamp and his wife became members of St. |
| 16 | | Thomas the Apostle Church in 1969; he was a homebound minister |
| 17 | | and volunteered to do electrical work for the church; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reckamp enjoyed traveling both abroad and |
| 19 | | in the United States, having visited 21 countries and all 50 |
| 20 | | states; and
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reckamp was preceded in death by his |
| 2 | | parents; his many aunts and uncles; his brothers, Herbert |
| 3 | | (Gerry) Reckamp, Kenneth Reckamp, Alan Reckamp, and Wayne |
| 4 | | Reckamp; his sisters, Florence Horcher and Eileen Kamis; his |
| 5 | | brother-in-law, Ed Nowak; his nieces, Gayle Photikarmbumrung |
| 6 | | and Anna Reckamp; and his nephew, Nicholas Nowak; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reckamp is survived by his wife, Paula |
| 8 | | Reckamp, whom he married on July 22, 1967; his children, |
| 9 | | Gregory (Julie) Reckamp, Michael (Meg) Reckamp, Laura (Bruce) |
| 10 | | Canaday, Steven (Erica) Reckamp, and Susan (Jon) Taylor; his |
| 11 | | grandchildren, Paul, Ellen, and Claudia Reckamp, Adam, Jason, |
| 12 | | Samuel, and Calvin Reckamp, Eric, Sean, Zachary, Erin, and |
| 13 | | Joanna Canaday, and Robert, Peter, Marybeth, and Margaret |
| 14 | | Reckamp; his siblings, Sister Alice Reckamp, Thomas (Linda) |
| 15 | | Reckamp, Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Conter, Melvin (Patricia) Reckamp, |
| 16 | | Margaret Nowak, and Norma (George) Laken; his sisters-in-law, |
| 17 | | Lien Reckamp, Jean Reckamp, and Monica Reckamp; his |
