SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jeanette L. Kohl of Orion, who passed
4away on February 28, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeanette Kohl was born on March 8, 1921 in rural
6Washington County, Iowa; she married Russell Ferguson, who
7passed away in 1945; she later married Robert Kohl; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeanette Kohl served in the Women's Army Corps
9during World War II; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeanette Kohl was employed in procurement at the
11Rock Island Arsenal for several years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jeanette Kohl loved quilting and belonged to
13several quilting groups, including the Mississippi Valley
14Quilters; she was also an active volunteer for several
15organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Project Now,
16Alternatives for Older Adults, and the Martin Luther King, Jr.
17Center; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jeanette Kohl was preceded in death by her first
19husband, Russell; her second husband, Robert; her mother, Grace
20Boshart, and her brother, Raymond Boshart; and

1    WHEREAS, Jeanette Kohl is survived by her children, Susan
2(Lee) Tamaoki, Rita Thompson, and Kenneth Kohl; her
3grandchildren, Tony, Natalie, and Julia Tamaoki, Ben Thompson,
4and Sondra Sierens; and her great-grandchildren, Austin and
5Aaron Bleyaert; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Jeanette L. Kohl; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Jeanette Kohl as an expression of
12our sympathy.
