SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas Joseph Sheley of East Moline, who
4passed away on January 17, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Sheley was born on November 18, 1935 at the
6family home in East Moline; his parents were Earl and Aline
7Schulte Sheley; he married Luanne Marie Riskedahl on June 7,
81958 at St. Anne Church in East Moline; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Sheley served in the United States Navy
10during the Korean Conflict; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas Sheley retired as a Bindery Supervisor from
12Desaulnier's Printing after many years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Sheley enjoyed woodworking and always was
14available to help family and friends with their building
15projects; he also loved horses and trail riding; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Thomas Sheley was preceded in death by his
17parents; his brother, Robert; and his grandson, Michael; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Thomas Sheley is survived by his wife, Luanne; his
19children, Daniel (Christina) Sheley, Richard (Kimberly)

1Sheley, Beth Ann (Mark) Boens, Joseph (Brenda) Sheley, and Mary
2Kay (Vince) Kalkowski; his 10 grandchildren; his 5
3great-grandchildren; and his brother, Richard (Lois) Sheley;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Joseph Sheley;
8and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Thomas Sheley as an expression of
11our sympathy.
