SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Vince Anthony Clark of Chicago, who
4passed away on January 16, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vince Clark was born in Chicago to Carolyn and
6Henry Clark on February 25, 1968; he attended John Altgeld
7Elementary School and graduated from Simeon High School in
81982; he later attended DeVry University; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Vince Clark joined Central Missionary Baptist
10Church at the age of 13 in 1981; he began working for the Faith
11Community of St. Sabina's summer youth program; he worked after
12school and on weekends until he finished school, when he became
13a full-time employee; he later became assistant to Father
14Michael L. Pfleger, Pastor of St. Sabina Parish, with whom he
15was also a very close friend to for more than 34 years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Vince Clark married the love of his life, Cheryl
17Moss on July 19, 1997; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Vince Clark was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and
19attended many games with his son; he also coached his son's
20baseball team; and

1    WHEREAS, Vince Clark was preceded in death by his parents;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Vince Clark is survived by his loving and devoted
4wife, Cheryl; his son, Chazz; his mother-in-law, Geraldine
5Moss; his siblings, Derrick, Glenn, Brian, Marvin (Nadine),
6Craig (Shirley), Shawn (Melissa), Christina, Angela (Alex),
7and Dorenda; his 2 brothers-in-law, Derrick Moss (Deborah) and
8Fred (Deborah); his sister-in-law, Debra Lawson; his best
9friend, Pastor Michael Pfleger; and countless family members
10and friends; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Vince Anthony Clark, and extend our sincere condolences to his
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Vince Clark as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
