SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Anne Marie Lesnak, who passed away on
4September 13, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Anne Marie Lesnak was born on July 31, 1923 in
6Owen, Wisconsin; her parents were John and Mary (nee Cerk)
7Jerina; she married Anthony Lesnak on October 29, 1949; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Anne Marie Lesnak spent her childhood in Owen,
9Wisconsin, graduating from Owen High School in 1942 and from
10St. Joseph School's of Nursing in Marshfield, Wisconsin in
111945; in 1946 she moved to Illinois, where she met her future
12husband; after working part-time at the North Chicago VA, she
13was instrumental in establishing an Alcoholism Treatment
14facility for the Lake County Health Department in 1975; she
15later returned to the North Chicago VA, where she retired in
161978 after 25 years of service; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Anne Marie Lesnak was a member of Mother of God
18for many years and later attended St. Dismas Parish; she was
19also involved with the St. Dismas Women's Club, the Catholic
20Women's Club, St. Joseph's KSKJ, VA Retirees, the US Steel
21Workers Retiree Club, and the Slovenic National Home; and

1    WHEREAS, Anne Marie Lesnak was preceded in death by her
2siblings, Emma Merlock, Mary Kinsey, Sophie Mivshek, Jenny
3Mulligan, Frances Hemersbach, Fritz Jerina, and Frank Jerina;
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, Anne Marie Lesnak is survived by her husband of 65
6years, Anthony; her sons, Robert (Donna) and John (Terri); her
7grandsons, Brian (Kelli) and Kevin (Saya); and her
8great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ty, Reese, and Ryan; therefore,
9be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Anne Marie Lesnak; and
13be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Anne Marie Lesnak as an expression
16of our sympathy.
