SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Clarence Joseph "Joe" Perron of Coal
4Valley, who passed away on September 1, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Perron was born in Davenport, Iowa on
6September 17, 1926 to Clarence and Clementine (nee Snyder)
7Perron; he served in the United States Navy, working as a cook
8aboard a ship from 1943 to 1946, and married Eraine Mae Wickum
9in Rock Island on November 12, 1948; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joe Perron served as a police officer for the
11Moline Police Department for 30 years; after his retirement, he
12worked as a funeral coach driver for W & H Livery Service for 5
13years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Joe Perron was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and
15enjoyed fishing and playing golf and pool; he was a volunteer
16fire fighter while living in Arkansas; he was a member of St.
17Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Coal Valley and the Moline
18American Legion; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joe Perron was preceded in death by his wife,
20Eraine, and by his parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Joe Perron is survived by his 3 children, Diane
2(Glenn) Jeffrey, Patricia (Robert) Mulherin, and Steve (Kathy)
3Perron; his grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Allen, Heather
4(Nathan) Brewer, Nicole Bussard, Brian (Megan) Mulherin, Beth
5(Tom) Hawkinson, Adam (Julie) Mulherin, Allison Mulherin,
6Andrew (Heather) Perron, and Grant (Beth) Perron; and his 14
7great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Clarence Joseph "Joe" Perron, and extend our sincere
11condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
12him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Joe Perron as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
