SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of David K. Kinsey of Rock Island, who
4passed away on August 9, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Kinsey was born December 18, 1953 in Moline;
6his parents were Kenneth, Sr. and Dorothy Nelson Kinsey; he
7married Laurie L. O'Melia on April 6, 1985 in Moline; and
 
8    WHEREAS, David Kinsey served his country as a member of the
9United States Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Following his discharge from the service at
11Ellsworth Air Force Base in Piedmont, South Dakota, David
12Kinsey remained out west and became a rancher and a bull rider
13in the rodeo circuit; he later attended the law enforcement
14academy and served as a Marshal with the United States Marshal
15Service; he retired from Jewel Food, Inc. in Moline after 30
16years of service and worked part-time as a bartender at the
17iWireless Center for 20 years; and
 
18    WHEREAS, David Kinsey was a member of St. Pius X Catholic
19Church in Rock Island; and
 
20    WHEREAS, David Kinsey enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing,

1and spending time with his family; and
 
2    WHEREAS, David Kinsey was preceded in death by his parents;
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, David Kinsey is survived by his beloved wife,
5Laurie; his daughters, Michelle (Dr. Michael) Hahn and Kira
6Stiles; his grandchildren, Olivia Mohr, Petra Hahn, Erik Hahn,
7Ava Hahn, and Daniel Stiles; and his brothers and sisters,
8Kenneth (Lorraine) Kinsey, Jr., Connie Fink, Susan (Michael)
9Beard, and Steve (Teresa) Kinsey; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of David K. Kinsey; and
13be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Kinsey as an expression of our
16sympathy.
