SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Connie Sue Underwood of Springfield, who
4passed away on July 9, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Connie Underwood was born on February 8, 1950 in
6Taylorville; her parents were Connie and Velma Marie (nee
7McKinney) Durbin; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Connie Underwood was employed as a Revenue Tax
9Specialist for the Illinois Department of Revenue until her
10retirement in August of 2011 after 26 years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Connie Underwood was a member of the Koke Mill
12Christian Church in Springfield; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Connie Underwood was preceded in death by her
14father; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Connie Underwood is survived by a daughter,
16Rochelle (Ross) Hewitt; 3 sons, Daniel (Kathryn) Underwood,
17Ryan Underwood, and Aaron (Jacqui) Underwood; 7 grandchildren,
18Nate Underwood, Mathew Underwood, Ross Hewitt, Reghan Hewitt,
19Rachel Hewitt, Kaiya Underwood, and Gianna Underwood; her
20mother; 4 sisters, Carol Mae Durbin, Roseann (Arlin) Olinger,

1Kathy Durbin, and Peggy Jo (Jerry) Anderson; her pet companion,
2Peaches; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Connie Sue Underwood;
6and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Connie Underwood as an expression of
9our sympathy.
