SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Freddie Moss, who passed away on April
417, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Freddie Moss was born on January 4, 1934 in
6Chicago; his parents were Vennett and Sarah Files; he married
7the love of his life and his high school sweetheart, Geraldine
8Lane, on September 7, 1952; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Freddie Moss was educated at Wendell Phillips High
10School, where he graduated in 1952; he subsequently attended
11the yearly class reunions; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Freddie Moss was employed at Jerry's Deli for 38
13years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Freddie Moss enjoyed holidays, family gatherings,
15spending time in his home, and sports; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Freddie Moss was preceded in death by his sister,
17Dimple, and his daughter, Carol (Sweetie); and
 
18    WHEREAS, Freddie Moss is survived his loving wife,
19Geraldine; 4 children, Freddie, Jr. (Deborah), Derek

1(Deborah), Debra, and Cheryl (Vince); 7 grandchildren,
2Demetrius, Derek, Latoyia, Latasha, Britnei, Morgan, and
3Chazz; 6 great-grandchildren, Damione, Devan, Dylan, Imani,
4Caleb, and Autumn; a brother, William (Mae Frances); his
5nephews and nieces, Rosalind, Michael, Lawrence, and Romell;
6his special friend, Raymond Jones; and his many other family
7members and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Freddie Moss; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Freddie Moss as an expression of our
14sympathy.
