SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas Beckmann of Waukegan, who passed
4away on December 3, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann was born on October 22, 1930 and
6was a lifelong resident of Waukegan; and
 
7    WHEREAS, After graduating from high school in 1948, Thomas
8Beckmann served his country as a member of the United States
9Marine Corps; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann had a long and distinguished
11career as a pipe fitter; he also owned several successful
12businesses in Lake County; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann enjoyed playing golf, watching
14the Chicago Cubs, and laughing; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann was preceded in death by his wife
16and soul mate of 44 years, Joan; his parents, William and Marie
17Beckmann; a sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Charles
18Swanson; and a brother, Jack Beckmann; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Thomas Beckmann is survived by 2 children, Tim

1Beckmann and Mary Jo (Jeff) Keller; 4 grandchildren, Jon and
2Tim Beckmann and Ted and Molly Keller; a brother, Dr. William
3(Carol) Beckmann; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Beckmann; and
7be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Thomas Beckmann as an expression of
10our sympathy.
