SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
5 ILCS 177/5
5 ILCS 177/20 new

    Amends the State Agency Web Site Act. Requires that a State agency make applications for licenses under the jurisdiction of that State agency accessible by means of a State agency Web site to the general public no later than January 1, 2017. Defines "license" as any license, certification, registration, or permit issued by a State agency, except for a driver's license, State identification card, or vehicle registration issued by the Secretary of State or any license issued by the State Board of Elections. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The State Agency Web Site Act is amended by
5changing Section 5 and by adding Section 20 as follows:
 
6    (5 ILCS 177/5)
7    Sec. 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
8    "Cookie" means a set of computer data or instructions that
9is placed on a consumer's computer by a Web site server to
10collect or store information about the consumer.
11    "State agencies" has the meaning given to that term in
12Section 1-7 of the Illinois State Auditing Act.
13    "License" means any license, certification, registration,
14or permit issued by a State agency, except for a driver's
15license, State identification card, or vehicle registration
16issued by the Secretary of State or any license issued by the
17State Board of Elections.
