HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrance
4Tyrone "Snake" Howard, Jr. of Peoria, who passed away on August
517, 2016; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Lawrance Howard, Jr. was born on January 18, 1971
7in Peoria; his parents were Lawrance, Sr., and Freida Howard;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lawrance Howard, Jr. was a 1989 graduate of Peoria
10Central High School, where his basketball team was a runner-up
11for the IHSA State championship with a record of 32 wins and
12one loss; he later pursued his basketball career at Lincoln
13Junior College and Toledo University; he was a 2004 inductee
14into the Peoria Central High School Hall of Fame; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lawrance Howard, Jr. was a respected sales
16consultant at Royal Publishing for 11 years; he was also a
17former manager at Big Johns North BBQ; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lawrance Howard, Jr. enjoyed basketball, spending
19time with his children, and history; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Lawrance Howard, Jr. is preceded in death by his

1parents and his fiancee, Yolanda N. Johnson; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Lawrance Howard, Jr. is survived by his children,
3Jasmine Howard, Kendall Yarbrough, Jakobe Howard, Jaylin
4Howard, and Jarryn Howard; his sister, Khadijah Uqdah; his
5brothers, Sean (Tammy) Timmons, Karstin Howard, Terrance
6"Terry" Howard, Jerrance (Jessica) Howard, and Timothy Moton;
7his grandchildren, Desirae', Azira, Ja'riyah, and John "BJ";
8his fiancee, Rachel M. Fuller; his stepfather, Oliver P. Moody;
9and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of
14Lawrance Tyrone "Snake" Howard, Jr.; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Lawrance Howard, Jr. as an
17expression of our sympathy.
