HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Delorse
4Ann Tyner Leeper of Cambria, who passed away on March 10, 2016;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Delorse Leeper was born in rural Cambria "Eight
7Mile" to Henry and Demova (Gilkey) Tyner on September 15, 1941;
8she married Jack D. Leeper on September 15, 1961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Delorse Leeper worked retail most of her life at a
10variety of places, including J.C. Penney's, Reynold's Market,
11and GTE Phone Mart; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Delorse Leeper was affectionately known as
13"Grammy"; she enjoyed traveling to places such as Branson,
14Missouri; the Smokey Mountains; England; France; Boston,
15Massachusetts; Florida; Alaska; and the U.S. Virgin Islands;
16she also enjoyed reading, shopping, and playing on her Kindle;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Delorse Leeper was preceded in death by her
19parents; her parents-in-law, Jesse and Carmen Leeper; her
20brother, Bill Tyner; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Roma and
21Don Modglin, June and Bob Martin, and Lana Sonnier; her

1sister-in-law, Rita Leeper; her brothers-in-law, George Leeper
2and Bob Whitecotton; and her nephew, Patrick Tyner; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Delorse Leeper is survived by her loving husband,
4Jack; her children, Julia Leeper (Mark) Pluff and Bonnie Leeper
5(Mark) Evans; her grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Pluff, and
6Jacob and Jesse Evans; her sisters, Jolene (Derril) Masters and
7Greta Whitecotton; her brothers, Gary (Paula) Tyner and Monty
8(Monica) Tyner; her sister-in-law, Carol Tyner; her
9brother-in-law, J.C. Leeper; many nieces, nephews,
10great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and
11nephews; and friends too numerous to count, especially the
12"Ethel to her Lucy", Joan Harvel Tregoning; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15mourn the passing of Delorse Ann Tyner Leeper, and extend our
16sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
17and loved her; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Delorse Leeper as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
