HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tarshwa
4Renee Carter, who passed away on March 11, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tarshwa Carter was born to Jacob M. and Priscilla
6E. Cooper on June 7, 1969; at the age of 6, she joined
7Cathedral of Joy Baptist Church; she graduated from Thornridge
8High School in 1987, where she sang in the high school chorale
9and was an all-star athlete, honor roll student, and a member
10of the National Honor Society; she received a full Motorola
11Engineering Scholarship and graduated from the Illinois
12Institute of Technology in 1991; she married Kevin Carter in
131995; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tarshwa Carter was an award-winning
15pharmaceutical sales representative for GlaxoSmithKline for
16over 10 years; she won several President Club Awards and was
17inducted into the GSK Sales Hall of Fame; she and her husband
18opened Griswold Home Care in 2012, which provides services for
19homebound seniors; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Tarshwa Carter enjoyed cooking, family vacations,
21running, music, and entertaining family and friends; she and
22her husband were members of Christian Life Center in Tinley

1Park, where they were Elders; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Tarshwa Carter is survived by her husband, best
3friend, and love of her life, Kevin; her two beautiful
4children, Kristen Maya Nicole and Kevin Tyler; her mother,
5Priscilla; her twin sister, Tonya (John); her brother, Jacob
6Jr. (Joy); her parents-in-love, Pastors Melvin and Bettye
7Carter; and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and
8family and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Tarshwa Renee Carter, and extend our
12sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Tarshwa Carter as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
