HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Rev.
4Ralph Thomas Wrightner Stuckey of Dunlap, who passed away on
5January 27, 2016; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey was born in Texarkana, Texas to Edna
7Ruth Wrightner and Henry Stuckey, Sr. on September 12, 1950; he
8served in the United States Army; he received a bachelor's
9degree in general education from Bradley University in Peoria,
10a bachelor's degree in general studies from Texas A&M
11University, and a marketing management degree from Illinois
12Central College in East Peoria; he married Gloria Williams in
13Peoria on June 17, 2010; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in
152013 after many years of service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey served as Associate Pastor at Star Of
17Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church in Peoria; he also served as
18Chaplain for the Illinois Department of Corrections; he was a
19faithful member of PrayerView Community Church in Peoria; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey was preceded in death by his father,
21Henry Stuckey, Sr.; his mother, Edna R. Foote; and his brother,

1Charles Stuckey; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey is survived by his wife, Gloria; his
3stepmother, Gloria Stuckey; his son, Christopher Wells
4Wrightner; his 6 daughters, Terra Wrightner, Dynal "Jay"
5Wrightner, Denisha Foy, Nicole Williams, Annette Williams, and
6Nia Crane; his 6 brothers, Andre (Dr. Leslie) McKnight, Ronnie
7Nelson, Henry (Lorna) Stuckey, Jr., Gregory Stuckey, and Floyd
8(Marilyn) Taylor; his 4 sisters, Andre (Lyntee) Curley, Roberta
9Foote, Tanya Foote, and LaToya Stuckey; his 9 grandchildren,
10Jordan, Cassidy, Christopher, Destini, TaTianna, Dion, Jr.,
11Jaylin, Quinten, and Alanea; his 2 great-grandchildren,
12Ka'Money and Kay'Onna; and a host of nieces, nephews, other
13relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16mourn the passing of Rev. Ralph Thomas Wrightner Stuckey, and
17extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
18who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Rev. Stuckey as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
