HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Tommie
4Trevion Forest, III of Peoria, who passed away on October 10,
52015; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Tommie Forest was born in Peoria on October 18,
72000 to Tommie, Jr. and Rebecca (nee Jordan) Forest; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Tommie Forest was a freshman at Peoria Central
9High, where he was an honor student and a star basketball and
10football player; he was a member of the AAU Basketball Team of
11Peoria and the Chicago Mac Irving Fire AAU Basketball Team; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Tommie Forest was a member of Pleasant Grove
13Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Junior Usher
14Board; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Tommie Forest was a kind and loving young man who
16loved his family and had a desire to play sports and achieve
17success by going to college; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Tommie Forest was preceded in death by his father,
19Tommie Forest, Jr.; his grandfather, Tommie Smith; and his
20uncle, Terry Forest; and

1    WHEREAS, Tommie Forest is survived by his mother, Rebecca
2Forest (his mother's fiance and his special mentor, Marcus
3Moore); his 2 brothers, DeMarcus Pate and DeVonte Keeton; his 2
4sisters, Tiamber and Teonna Forest; his grandparents, Dorcus
5Jordan, Gloriastine (Andrew) Lucas, and James (Sandra) Jordan;
6his god-parents, William (Shirley) Noel; his special friend and
7mentor, Shaun Livingston; and a host of uncles, aunts, other
8family, and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Tommie Trevion Forest, III, and extend our
12sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Tommie Forest as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
