AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2344

  AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2344 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

     “ Section 5.  The amount of $11,170,700, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Chicago State University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 10. The amount of $7,499,333, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education  Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Governors State  University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 15. The amount of $11,500,100, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education  Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Northeastern  Illinois University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 20. The amount of $61,808,833, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education  Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois  University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 25. The amount of $181,709,100, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 30. The amount of $13,394,067, or so much of that amount as  may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education  Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 35. The sum of $22,510,667, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education  Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Illinois State University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 40. The amount of $28,390,567, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Northern Illinois  University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 45. The amount of $16,033,767, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of Western Illinois  University to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

     Section 50. The amount of $198,536,550, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for grant awards to students eligible for the Monetary Award Program, as provided by law, and for agency administrative and operational costs for the Monetary Award Program not to exceed 2% of the total appropriation in this Section.

     Section 55. The amount of $5,709,733, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education  Assistance Fund to the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy to meet ordinary and contingent expenses incurred through August 31, 2016.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.”.
