SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Helen R. Boettcher of McHenry, who passed
4away on October 17, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Helen Boettcher was born on July 26, 1933 in Eau
6Claire, Wisconsin; her parents were Felix and Regina (nee
7Colby) Leland; she was a resident of McHenry since 1957; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Helen Boettcher was employed by PNC Bank in the
9accounting department for many years until her retirement; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Helen Boettcher was a member of St. Mary Catholic
11Church in McHenry, where she was also a member of the St. Mary
12Christian Women; she was also active in the Senior Citizens
13Club, the Women's Club, and held the position of Treasurer of
14Holiday Hills for over 4 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Helen Boettcher enjoyed reading, puzzles,
16crosswords, hummingbirds, deer, and dogs, especially the
17companionship of her greyhound dog, Ruthie II; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Helen Boettcher was preceded in death by her
19parents; her husband, Bill; a granddaughter, Katie Boettcher; 2
20sisters, Adele Thomas and Florence Tobin; and a brother, Robert

2    WHEREAS, Helen Boettcher is survived by 5 children, Ken
3(Paula) Boettcher, John Boettcher, Diane Fry, Mark (Kathy)
4Boettcher, and Regina (Todd Forney) Gardner; a son-in-law,
5Brett Gardner; a daughter-in-law, Sue Boettcher; 14
6grandchildren, Brad (Dana), Jillian, Kenny, Megan, Melissa
7(Ed), Jennea, Paul (Amy), Corey, Brad (Okema), Deanne (Mark),
8Adam (Faith), Britt (Ben), Melanie (Zach), and Samantha; 16
9great-grandchildren; her best friends, Gloria and Ted
10Mallasch; and her special friends, Kathy Andrews and Dottie
11Demke; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Helen R. Boettcher;
15and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Helen Boettcher as an expression of
18our sympathy.
