SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leonard Anton "Slick" Mullink of Bunker
4Hill, who passed away on October 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leonard Mullink was born in Bunker Hill on January
64, 1934 to Anton and Kathryn (nee Sneeringer) Mullink; he
7married Billie Jean (nee Ray) Mullink on July 31, 1953 in
8Bunker Hill; he was a veteran of the United States Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Leonard Mullink worked as a laborer and foreman
10for the Olin Corporation; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Leonard Mullink was a member of the St. Mary
12Church's Knights of Columbus and St. Mary Church; he was a fan
13of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed spending time with his
14family; he also enjoyed carpentry work, playing guitar, and
15playing with the family band; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Leonard Mullink was preceded in death by his
17parents; his granddaughter, Bethany Orban; his brothers,
18Harold Mullink, James Mullink, Thomas Mullink, and Frank
19Mullink; and his sister, Rosalia K. Rhoads; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Leonard Mullink is survived by his wife, Billie;

1his children, Mary Jane (Jim) Hessel, Tammy (Mike) Orban, and
2Teresa Mullink; his grandchildren, Jim (Allison) Hessel II,
3Dawn Arzuagas, Eric Arzuagas, Brad (Erin) Collins, Cristi
4(Kenny) Kueck, Bryan (Shadow) Collins, Valerie (Alex) Naylor,
5and Nick (Nicole) Orban; his great-grandchildren, Elijah
6Dannenbrinx, Maria Arzuagas, Kameron Kueck, Kobe Rippy,
7Courtney Kueck, Ethan Collins, Klayton Kueck, Abby Collins,
8Mora Arzuagas, Gwyndylan Kueck, Kasen Arzuagas, Harlow
9Collins, Maxx Naylor, James and Jackson Hessel, and Rosemary
10Hessel; and his siblings, Gene (Marie) Mullink, Jane
11Diestelhorst, Lois Meehan, Ruth Ann Biermann, Betty Scott, and
12Alice (Allan) Greeling; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Leonard Anton "Slick" Mullink, and extend our sincere
16condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
17him; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Leonard Mullink as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
