SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward Lawrence "Butch" Foster, Jr. of
4Waukegan, who passed away on June 3, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Foster, Jr. was born on June 12, 1946 in
6Chattanooga, Tennessee; his parents were Edward Lawrence, Sr.
7and Evelyn Beasley; he married Barbara Aikens on August 28,
81966; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edward Foster, Jr. served his country as a member
10of the United States Armed Forces during the Vietnam War; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Edward Foster, Jr. enjoyed boxing, watching the
12Green Bay Packers, and participating in his favorite role as
13"Poppy" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Edward Foster, Jr. was preceded in death by his
15father and 2 sisters, Teri Thornton and Paget Webster; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Edward Foster, Jr. is survived by his loving and
17devoted wife of 48 years, Barbara; his loving mother, Evelyn
18Foster; a brother, Warren Foster; a son, Kelly (Rilla) Foster;
19a daughter, Paget Foster; 10 grandchildren, Amber, Joshua,
20Kayla, Alyssa, Jasmine, Noreen, Adriana, Jada, Idena, and

1Kelly, Jr.; 7 great-grandchildren, J'Veon, J'Marion, Chance,
2Jeremy, Jaylen, Arieal, and Vincent, II; and many
3sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward Lawrence
8"Butch" Foster, Jr.; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Edward Foster, Jr. as an expression
11of our sympathy.
