SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr. of River
4Forest; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. graduated from Mount
6Carmel High School and DePaul University, where he earned both
7his undergraduate and law degrees; he served his country in the
8United States Army as a Counterintelligence Corps Special Agent
9in France; he married Charlotte in 1956; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. returned from the service
11and took over his father's real estate firm, Jos. Cacciatore &
12Company and expanded it; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was a philanthropist,
14donating to his alma maters Mount Carmel High School and DePaul
15University, where he personally gave the funds to construct
16Cacciatore Stadium; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. enjoyed cooking flapjacks
18for his family every Sunday and taking his kids on fishing
19trips in Canada and to South Carolina; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was the beloved husband of

1Charlotte (nee Kwasigroch); the devoted father of Victor, Jr.
2(Josephine), Joseph (Maria), Peter, Cynthia (Roger) Bickel,
3Mary Beth, Gloria (Hayati) Turan, Christopher, Susan (Mark)
4Lasek, Philip (Joann), and Daniel; the loving son of the late
5Joseph and Gloria Cacciatore; the fond grandfather of 21
6grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; the dearest brother
7of Angeline Ratkovich and the late Frank Cacciatore, Genevieve
8Panaerse, and Gloria DiGiacomo; and dear uncle of many nieces
9and nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences
13to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
14it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Victor Cacciatore, Sr. as an
17expression of our deepest sympathy.
