SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward J. Hughes of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on October 27, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Hughes was born on May 20, 1933 in Chicago;
6his parents were John Vincent and Margaret (Quinn) Hughes; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Edward Hughes worked as an operating engineer with
8International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for 55
9years; he also served as a Nunda Township Road Commissioner and
10a Precinct Committeeman; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Edward Hughes was preceded in death by his
12brother, John "Jack" Hughes, and his sisters, Marilyn Braun and
13Betty Rose; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Edward Hughes is survived by his children, Denise
15Marie Hughes, Timothy Patrick (Ann) Hughes, Thomas Michael
16(Julie) Hughes, Edward James Hughes II, and Kimberly Francis
17(Robert) Goetz; his grandchildren, Kristy Perera, Dana Baker,
18John Earhart, Christopher Hughes, Tiffany Davis, Bridget and
19Annie Hughes, Jennifer, Jeanna, and Jill Hughes, Zachary,
20Rachel, Aubrie, and Kaleb Hughes, Jessica Ribandt, and Brandon
21and Bryan Goetz; his great-grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, Micky,

1Sophia, Brady, Connor, Colin, Riley, and Logan; and his
2significant other, Dianne Forth; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward J. Hughes; and
6be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Edward Hughes as an expression of
9our sympathy.
