SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leonardo S. Alfano of Jacksonville, who
4passed away on July 18, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano was born on October 9, 1993, in
6Jacksonville to Sam and Antonia Vitale Alfano; he was a 2012
7graduate of Jacksonville High School, where he played soccer
8and earned many honors; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano worked at his family's business,
10Leo's Pizza in Jacksonville; he had recently opened his own
11business, Trophies on the Wall, after graduating from taxidermy
12training in Colorado; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano was an avid outdoorsman; he
14enjoyed big-game hunting and had recently traveled to Canada
15bear hunting; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano was a member of Church of our
17Saviour; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano cherished the time he spent with
19his sweetheart, Morgan McKinnon; and

1    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano was preceded in death by his
2maternal grandmother, Santina Vitale; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Leonardo Alfano is survived by his parents; his
4brother, Pete Alfano; his sister, Filie Alfano; his maternal
5grandfather, Leonardo Vitale; his paternal grandparents,
6Pietro and Phyllis Alfano; and numerous aunts, uncles, and
7cousins; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Leonardo S. Alfano, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Leonardo Alfano as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
