SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Betty Ann Maher of Edwardsville, who
4passed away on June 29, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Ann Maher was born November 20, 1939, in
6Edwardsville; her parents were Marion and Lavina Peterson; she
7married Robert W. Maher on May 28, 1960, in Alton; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Betty Ann Maher was a registered nurse; she had
9worked for St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton and the Madison
10County Nursing Home before retiring from the Madison County
11Detention Home; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Betty Ann Maher was a member of St. Boniface
13Catholic Church in Edwardsville; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Betty Ann Maher was preceded in death by her
15brother, Denny Peterson; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Betty Ann Maher is survived by her husband,
17Robert; her sons, Robert J. (Missy), Benjamin L., William A.,
18Brad A., and Brent D. (Kristie Fore); her daughters, Barbara E.
19Latham (Christopher) and Elizabeth A. Maher; her
20grandchildren, Lauren, J.R., Noah, Danielle, Kate, Skylar

1Maher, Joshua and Jessica Latham, Jennifer Maher, and April
2Maher; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Khloe, and Corbin; her
3brothers, David Peterson (Joy) and James Peterson (Clarine);
4and her special family friend, Kim Zobrist; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7his family and friends, the passing of Betty Ann Maher; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Betty Ann Maher as an expression of
11our sympathy.
