HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representative are saddened to learn of the death of Ruby Lee
4(nee Johnson) BoClair of Chicago, who passed away on October 8,
52014; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Ruby BoClair was born in Eudora, Arkansas on
7August 22, 1941 to Ozella Frazier and Harry Johnson; she
8married Rufus BoClair, Jr. on July 23, 1961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ruby BoClair was a member of Zion Hill Missionary
10Baptist Church and then Pillars Rock Baptist Church and St.
11Luke Missionary Baptist Church; she enjoyed reading the Bible,
12attending gospel concerts, cooking, and spending time with her
13family; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ruby BoClair was preceded in death by her husband,
15Rufus; her parents, Ozella and Harry Johnson; and
16granddaughter, Kailynn Boclair; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ruby BoClair is survived by a brother, Mickey
18Johnson; an uncle, Rev. Charley Lemon, Jr.; children, Rufus,
19III "Temple", William, Lashonda, Keith, Sr., Latasha, Kent,
20Sr., and Anna "Cookie", whom she raised as one of her own; 15
21grandchildren; 7 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; a special

1cousin, Patricia Washington; a host of relatives; and special
2friends, Cora Hudson-Means, Murdistine Cooke, Daisy McBeth,
3Marsha Crosby, Ethel Harris, and Gloria Marlow; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we mourn the passing of Ruby Lee BoClair, and extend our
8sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
9and loved her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Ruby BoClair as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
