HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Clara B.
4Hall of Peoria, who passed away on August 31, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clara Hall was born on November 28, 1919 in
6Ridgway; her parents were Peter and Anna (nee Unfried) Kohl;
7and
 
8    WHEREAS, Clara Hall worked as a seamstress for Princess
9Peggy in Vandalia, Pinckneyville, and Peoria; during World War
10II, she worked at the Joliet Arsenal, putting detonators on
11artillery shells; she later worked as a seamstress at
12Schradzki's and Burlington Coat Factory in Peoria; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Clara Hall was a longtime member of St. Bernard
14Catholic Church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Clara Hall was preceded in death by her husband,
16Barney; 2 brothers, Joe Kohl and Louis Kohl; and 4 sisters,
17Mary Rose Robbins, Ceal Williams, Edith Van Etten, and
18Elizabeth Pirck; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Clara Hall is survived by her son, Lee Hall; 4
20grandchildren, Kari (Chris) Losen and Connor, Samantha, and

1Chloe Hall; a sister, Eulalia Murray; and 11 nieces and
2nephews, Ben (Patsy) Moye, Carol (Dan) Bohan, Bob (Kim) Murray,
3Charles (Irma) Robbins, Dave (Tina) Murray, Marie (Bernie)
4Mitchell, Rita Kohl, Bob Kohl, Fran (Norris) Sherrill, Jimmy
5Hall, and Dorothy (Joe) Nash; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
9Clara B. Hall; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Clara Hall as an expression of our
12sympathy.
