HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Eileen
4Elizabeth Hoffman of Collinsville, who passed away on December
53, 2013; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was born on June 22, 1938 in Breese
7to Francis and Irene (nee Schrage) Woltering; she earned both
8her Bachelor of Science in Business and her master's degree in
9Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at
10Edwardsville; she married Ernest Hoffman on November 26, 1959;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman retired as program manager at Air
13Mobility Command-Scott Air Force Base; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was active with the Collinsville
15Historical Museum, and volunteered for election campaigns; she
16was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in
17Maryville and was a former choir member; she enjoyed reading
18and spending time with her family; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was preceded in death by her
20husband, Ernest; her son, Jerome Hoffman; and her parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman is survived by her son, State
2Representative Jay (Laurie) Hoffman; her grandchildren, Emily
3(Kyle) Stigler and Katelyn Hoffman; her brother, David (Lena)
4Woltering; her sisters, Ruth (Tom) Kueper, Mary Edith (William)
5Koch, Connie (Rick) Fangmeyer, and Janet (Joe) Humphrey; and
6numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we mourn the passing of Eileen Elizabeth Hoffman, extend our
10sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
11and loved her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Eileen Hoffman as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
