HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to recognize Sergeant Frank W.
4Liquori on his military achievements; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori was born on February 17,
61992, to Frank T. and Jane E. Liquori and has a sister, Katie
7Lauren Liquori; he is a 2010 graduate of Streamwood High
8School; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori enlisted in the United
10States Army as a Combat Engineer and entered basic training at
11Fort Leonard Wood on November 3, 2010; after graduation, he was
12sent to his current duty station at Fort Hood in Texas and is
13currently a member of the 1st Calvary Division 4th Brigade
14Special Troops Battalion; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori was deployed to Iraq on
16April 19, 2011, and then to Afghanistan on November 16, 2012,
17where he served as a Team Leader; he has been promoted 5 times
18in less than 3 years; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori has earned numerous
20accommodations while serving his country, including the Combat
21Action Badge for engaging with the enemy, the National Defense

1Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign
2Medal, 2 United States Army Achievement Medals, the Global War
3on Terrorism Ribbon, the Overseas Ribbon, the National Alantic
4Treaty Organization International Security Assistance Force
5Ribbon, and the United States Army Commendation Medal for
6sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori re-enlisted while on
8deployment and will continue to serve the United States Army;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Liquori will receive a hero's
11welcome by the Illinois Patriot Guard in Streamwood on August
1210, 2013; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15we recognize Sergeant Frank W. Liquori on his military
16achievements and thank him for his service to his country; and
17be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to Sergeant Frank Liquori as an expression of our
20esteem and respect.
