HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Ruth Clara Kiltz on the
4occasion of her 90th birthday; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz was born on July 26, 1923, in Chicago,
6to William and Margaret Lenz; she grew up with her siblings,
7Adeline, William, and Randall; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz married Walter K. Kiltz on April 11,
91942; together, they have 4 children, Walter, Kristine, Sandra,
10and Michelle; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz attended Golgotha Lutheran School and
12graduated from William Rainey Harper High School in Chicago;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz and her husband worked at the family
15bakery during the early years of their marriage; as business
16owners, the couple were active with the Chicago Lawn Chamber of
17Commerce; following the closure of the bakery, she was employed
18as a Sales Tax Collector with the Illinois Department of
19Revenue; after many years of service with the State, she
20retired as a Sales Tax Collection Supervisor; and

1    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz was an avid member of Hope Lutheran
2Church in Chicago; she is currently a member of St. Paul
3Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz enjoys music, singing, ballroom
5dancing, and bowling; she also enjoyed her husband's
6involvement in politics; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Ruth Kiltz currently resides in Matteson, where
8she is enjoying her retirement years; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we congratulate Ruth Clara Kiltz on the occasion of her 90th
12birthday and wish her many happy and healthy years to come; and
13be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to Ruth Kiltz as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
