HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dr. David
4T. Cypin, who passed away on June 28, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Cypin was born on May 17, 1954, in Chicago;
6his parents were Charles and Gertrude Cypin; he married Barbara
7Anne Rand on July 9, 1988, in Arlington Heights; and
 
8    WHEREAS, David Cypin attended school in both Skokie and
9Niles and graduated from Niles East High School in 1972; he
10continued his education by attending the undergraduate program
11at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa before graduating from
12the University of Illinois Medical Center School of Dentistry
13in 1979; and
 
14    WHEREAS, After graduating from dental school, David Cypin
15partnered with Dr. Robert Corte in a practice in LaGrange,
16where they worked together until 1997; from 1980 until 1997, he
17was on staff at various Chicagoland hospitals, being associated
18with dental procedures in their hospital operating rooms and
19with their residency programs; in 1997, he moved to Marion to
20practice dentistry with his fellow classmate, Dr. Robert J.
21Main; he practiced at Main & Cypin Dentistry until the time of
22his passing; and

1    WHEREAS, David Cypin was an active member of the American
2Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the
3Southern Illinois Dental Society, and Marion Elks BPOE Lodge
4800; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Cypin enjoyed traveling, playing tennis,
6golf, and spending time with his family and friends; and
 
7    WHEREAS, David Cypin was preceded in death by his parents
8and his brother, Allen Cypin; and
 
9    WHEREAS, David Cypin is survived by his wife, Barbara Anne
10Cypin; his daughter, Tayler Nicole Cypin; his father-in-law,
11Theodore Rand and his wife, Sara Campbell; his sisters-in-law,
12Terri Rand and Jacklyn Rodgers; and his many friends;
13therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
16we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Dr.
17David T. Cypin; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of David Cypin as an expression of our
20sympathy.
