HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Maurice
4Eric Prince; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Maurice Eric Prince was born on October 29, 1946,
6to Lillian and James Bearden; he was married to Barbara J.
7Wimberly on July 24, 1965; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Maurice Eric Prince had many interesting chapters
9in his life, but in the most profound and beloved one he worked
10in his parents' famous "Chicken Shack" located on the corner of
1114th and Ashland in Chicago in the mid to late 1960s; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Maurice Eric Prince always appreciated the
13cultural arts and loved Jazz music and African American Art;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Eric", Maurice Prince
16was a beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather,
17brother, uncle, and friend and was always one to "think outside
18the box"; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Maurice Eric Prince was preceded in death by his
20parents and his brother, Ivan Bearden; and

1    WHEREAS, Maurice Eric Prince is survived by his wife,
2Barbara; his children, Carmela, Maurice, Glenn, Lillian, and
3Christian; and his siblings, Arnold and Sharenne Bearden;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we mourn the passing of Maurice Eric Prince, and extend our
8sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
9and loved him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Maurice Eric Prince as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
