HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dan
4Edward Bluthardt; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Bluthardt was born on April 16, 1965, in
6Madison, Wisconsin, to Edward Earl Jr. and Diane Rose (Latoria)
7Bluthardt; he was raised in Schiller Park; in 1983, he
8graduated from East Leyden High School, where he played
9football and enjoyed playing in a rock band; he graduated from
10the University of Wisconsin in 1987, where he was a member of
11Phi Gamma Delta; he married Carrie Larsen on May 13, 1995; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dan Bluthardt worked for many years in State
13government and had been serving as a lobbyist the last few
14years of his career; he worked for the Illinois Department of
15Natural Resources from 1988 to 1991 and then served as policy
16coordinator and analyst for the Illinois House Republican
17Leaders's Office from 1991 to 1995; from 1999 until December
182003 he worked as director of the Legislative Affairs Section
19and then as assistant to the director for Marketing
20Administration within the Department of Professional
21Regulation; he was the deputy director for the Licensing &
22Testing Division at the Department of Professional Regulation
23from December 2003 to June 2004 and served as the director of

1the Division of Professional Regulation for the Illinois
2Department of Financial and Professional Regulation from July
32004 to March 2010; from 1993 to 1995, he was vice-president
4and co-owner of Stuff for Success Inc. in Franklin Park; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Bluthardt followed in the footprints of his
6grandfather, former State Rep. Edward E. Bluthardt Sr. and
7entered politics; he served as precinct committeeman in Leyden
8Township for many years and was president of the Leyden
9Township Republican Organization for a number of years; he also
10was elected precinct committeeman in Algonquin Township; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dan Bluthardt enjoyed boating, fishing, following
12the Chicago Cubs, and having cocktails with friends; he liked
13to take his family on trips to Eagle River, Wisconsin; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dan Bluthardt is survived by his children Rocco
15and Amanda; his wife, Carrie; his cousins, Chris and Todd
16Itrich; his brother, Brent; and many lifelong friends;
17therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20we mourn the passing of Dan Bluthardt, and extend our sincere
21condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
22him; and be it further

3deepest sympathy.
