AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5892

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5892, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
41, as follows:
 
5on page 2, after line 17, by adding the following:
 
6    ""Standing protocol" may be issued by (i) a physician
7licensed to practice medicine in all its branches, (ii) a
8physician assistant who has been delegated the authority to
9prescribe asthma medications or epinephrine auto-injectors by
10his or her supervising physician, or (iii) an advanced practice
11nurse who has a collaborative agreement with a collaborating
12physician that delegates authority to issue a standing protocol
13for asthma medications or epinephrine auto-injectors."; and
 
14on page 5, line 10, after "physician", by inserting ",
15physician assistant, or advanced practice nurse"; and

7on page 10, line 3, after the period, by inserting "The school
8district, public school, or nonpublic school must maintain
9records related to the training curriculum and trained
10personnel."; and
 
11on page 10, line 9, after "areas", by inserting "within the
12school and its related facilities"; and
 
13on page 12, by replacing lines 3 through 6 with the following:
 
14    "(l) A school district, public school, or nonpublic school
15is encouraged not to use the administration of emergency
16medications to reduce the number of school nurses in a school
17or school district.".
