SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
210 ILCS 45/2-115 new

    Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Provides that a resident of a long-term care facility who is assigned by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to a managed care organization participating in a Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative Program shall have the right to remain in the facility in which the resident resides after enrollment occurs. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by adding
5Section 2-115 as follows:
 
6    (210 ILCS 45/2-115 new)
7    Sec. 2-115. Managed Care. A resident of a facility who is
8assigned by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to
9a managed care organization participating in a
10Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) Program has the
11right to remain in the facility in which the resident resides
12after enrollment occurs.
 
13    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14becoming law.
