Creates the Wind Farm State Property Lease Act. Authorizes the State to lease State-owned property for the use of wind farms or electric-generating wind devices, including all associated transmission lines, substations, and other equipment related to the generation of electricity from wind energy devices, provided that the wind farm and electric-generating wind devices comply with any requirements the applicable county or municipality has established under the Counties Code or Illinois Municipal Code.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Wind |
| 5 | | Farm State Property Lease Act.
|
| 6 | | Section 5. Leasing of State property for wind farms. |
| 7 | | Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the State may |
| 8 | | lease State-owned property for the use of wind farms or |
| 9 | | electric-generating wind devices, including all associated |
| 10 | | transmission lines, substations, and other equipment related |
| 11 | | to the generation of electricity from wind energy devices, |
| 12 | | provided that the wind farm and electric-generating wind |
| 13 | | devices comply with any requirements the county or municipality |
| 14 | | in which that leased property is located has established under |
| 15 | | Section 5-12020 of the Counties Code or Section 11-13-26 of the |
| 16 | | Illinois Municipal Code. |
