| 1 | | AN ACT concerning employment.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 2208.1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (820 ILCS 405/2208.1 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 2208.1. Return receipts. Whenever any provision of |
| 8 | | this Act requires service by certified or registered mail |
| 9 | | either a paper return receipt issued by the United States |
| 10 | | Postal Service or an electronic return receipt issued by the |
| 11 | | United States Postal Service shall constitute proof of service.
